Delicious food, Prompt service! For lunch we ordered Pota à Lagareiro and Sardinhas Assadas. For a start, we were each given a plate of appetizer - Cantaloupe and presunto. The saltines of the presunto went very well with the sweet Cantaloupe. Delicious! My partner had Pota à Lagareiro, grilled octopus tentacles 9,50. I had sardines (Sardinhas Assadas 9,00). It was beautifully grilled and the flesh was soft. Both dishes were yummy! The portions were generous. Will be repeat customers.

Mr Hilário is a very friendly person. He is part of the history of this famous restaurant, and talks about its past when it was a mandatory stop, before the A1 motorway existed. The food is very good, with typical Portuguese dishes, in generous portions, and the service is fantastic.
